GREEN RENOVATION PROJECT – PROGRESS UPDATE AUGUST 5 - Fredericton Golf Club Inc. : Fredericton Golf Club Inc.

Since our last Green Renovation Update holes #4 & #5 have been overseeded with a specific type of bentgrass known as 007, this type of bentgrass is used in the spring to help recover from winter damage and is the most common variety of bentgrass used for new greens. Typically this grass needs a 10-21 day period in order to germinate and then an additional 4-6 weeks to start spreading. We are very happy with the progress #4 & #5 have made since being seeded & hydromulched. *Please see the growth progression in the pictures below.

On the other side of the road work is well underway as the drainage on hole #10 and hole #13 is complete. The 4 inch pea gravel has been completed on hole #10 as it waits to be seeded while the gravel and irrigation on hole #13 is expected to be completed next week, followed by seeding.
